The Littles

Based on the original books by John Peterson the cartoon was published in 1983. DiC Entertainment created the series and it ran from 1983 to 1985. The Littles had 29 episodes in all running for a full three seasons.

John Peterson had started writing the books back in the 60’s and published his first book in 1967. It wasn’t until years later with DiC Entertainment decided to create an animated series about the book and put it out.

Small and mouse-like The Littles lived in a house with the Bigg family; they had tails, pointed ears however they did look human like. Henry Bigg was the only member of the Bigg family to know that The Littles existed.

The Littles family consists of Frank and Helen who are the parents. Their children Tom and Lucy also live with their grandpa named Pete. Out of the many cartoons released by DiC, The Littles was one of the first.

The Borrowers, a book written by Mary Norton somewhat resembled The Littles. This is not to say that the show had taken ideas from this book.
