Rubik, the Amazing Cube

Another Saturday morning cartoon produced by Ruby-Spears Products was Rubik. The cartoon aired from 1983 to 1984 and featured a magic Rubik’s Cube who could only come alive when his squares were matched up.

The story follows Rubik as originally he had be with an evil magician assuming against his will as the magician was the main evil character of the show. Rubik eventually falls out of the stagecoach and is found by man who knew the magician.

The man lets his children keep Rubik thinking the magician would use Rubik for evil. Seems like a strange idea for a cartoon to resolve around a Rubik’s cube but then again maybe not. The show I believe only lasted one season as it was pared up with another cartoon as a full hour long show.

The other cartoon was Pac-Man.
