If you recall the movie The Muppets Take Manhattan where Miss Piggy dreams about Kermit and herself growing up together and then it shows them as babies? Well Muppet Babies is somewhat based off of that scene.

Running from 1984 to 1990 and having 107 episodes Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies usually ran for about half an hour. Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies became quite popular however and soon ran in 60m segments and even 90m.

The show takes place in a nursery where a human named Nanny takes care and watches over the Muppets. Interesting fact about the show is that you never seen the Nannies face but just her socks and skirt. The Muppets parents in the actual show are not talked about either.

The Muppet Babies will play together and imagine they are elsewhere on an adventure, usually what they have in the nursery and their imagination. Many of the episodes usually give a life lesson about a specific topic depending on what happened in the episode.

The Muppet Babies originally aired on CBS and was developed by Jeffrey Scott.
