Alvin and the Chipmunks

Alvin and the Chipmunks

First airing in 1983 the series ran to 1990 when it was finally taken off the air, however you could still watch it on some channels that would play reruns of the show. Alvin and the Chipmunks was created by Ross Bagdasarian and producded by the company Bagdasarian Productions during 83-87.

The show was basically based off the older cartoon from the 60s called The Alvin Show and unlike the earlier show this one freatued three female chipmunks called the Chipettes, who were basically a female counterpart of the male chipmunks. They also had a care taker named Miss Beatrice Miller like Dave.

The three chipmunks named Alvin, Simon and Theodore and they live with Dave their adoped father in a small neighbourhood. Dave writes music for a living and he is also a manager. The three chipmunks sing songs during the show and so does their female counterparts, they usually all get together and sing songs.

There is a rumor going around that reruns of the show may appear on some channels in 2009. This is because of the 50th Aniversary, as well as a second movie to their first Alvin and the Chipmunks II is said to maybe come out in 2010.

If you’re a fan of Alvin and his antics and have not watched this classic show I recommend it.
